Founded by acclaimed composer Bijibal, filmmaker Aashiq Abu, Shahabaz Aman, Sayanora Philip, Syam Pushkaran, and others to celebrate independent music. KMF was launched to unite diverse voices under the mantra 'don’t sit far—come together.'
Held its debut multi-genre festival and a charity concert on November 1, featuring around 50 artists across classical, folk, film, and new-gen genres. Co-organized by GST Junction and Edam to spotlight emerging talent.
Hosted its first Para Hip-Hop Festival featuring rapper Vedan. Pivoted to digital formats during COVID with virtual concerts, online collaborations, and remote workshops.
Partnered in the 'Karuna' flood-relief charity concert and organized live public gigs in Durbar Hall and Koithara Park, integrating music with civic engagement.
Collaborated with platforms like GST Junction to support indie musicians in intimate venues. Expanded reach across Kerala and began laying the foundation for international programs.
